AOG Energy – better known to industry folk under its previously full title of the Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference – is celebrating its 40th year with a two-day event next month in the oil capital, Perth, with organisers promising “a strong focus on ensuring the safety of attendees” amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

“Event organisers, Diversified Communications Australia, are working to a robust Covid-safe plan within state government guidelines to allow attendees to confidently do business in a safe and controlled environment,” AOG Energy said of the planned 10-11 March get-together.

With about 90% of exhibitors and attendees at previous instalments traditionally coming from the Western Australia industry, restrictions on international travel are unlikely to significantly impact this year’s event.

For those unable to attend in person, however, selected digital livestreams of critical parts of the conference programme will be on offer.

AOG Energy event director Bill Hare said: “Returning to Perth is an opportunity to showcase local capability and innovation, LNG leadership and provide networking opportunities that would simply not be possible in most other jurisdictions in the world.”
